We stayed up late night the night before...I think that we made it to 8:00! This time change thing is taking some time to get used to.
With fins and snorkel in hand, we set off to Hanauma Bay. Once we arrived, we found another huge hill to go down so the workout continues. Once we arrived to the beach, we put the fins and the mask on and headed out to the coral reefs. It took a little while to get used to, but the underwater world was fantastic. Having snorkeled before, we both were impressed with the fish that we saw. Our Hawaii book said it was like swimming in an aquarium and it really was! The highlight was getting up close and personal with an eel. We saw fish with amazing colors that would swim right along us. Turtles were spotted but not by us...
We came home to a drink at the pool bar. Souvenir shopping was on our minds at the International Market before heading to dinner at Duke's Canoe Club. Fun place that had great coconut shrimp and hamburgers! We are staying up later...Heather actually made it through Dancing with the Stars that ended at 9:00 here. Jon was fast asleep!
